Duruelo Convent High School

ADMISSIONS

  1. New pupils are admitted at the beginning of the year on payment of the Entrance Fee and School Fee. The amount thus collected cannot be refunded even if the pupil for any reason should leave the school immediately after admission.
  2. A candidate who has attended any recognized school cannot be admitted without a Leaving Certificate from the School she has last attended.
  3. Admission from other states is made only if the Leaving Certificate is countersigned by the inspector of the state authority. Such pupils are subjected to a test and then placed in standards for which they are found fit.
  4. Applications for admission from unrecognized schools will be subjected to a regular written test in all the subjects. They should bring also an affidavit made by the parent before a Magistrate. Such are then provisionally admitted by the Principal for the standard found fit, subject to confirmation by the Education Inspector.

Withdrawal

  1. One calendar month’s notice is to be given before the withdrawal of the student or a fee will be charged. Such notice should be given by the person responsible for the student. The form of application for the leaving certificate is found in the school calendar.
  2. No Leaving Certificate will be granted unless all school dues are paid.
  3. Pupils who desire to discontinue studies should take their leaving certificate immediately. A fee will be charged if the certificate is taken after one year; and if a duplicate is applied for, the prescribed procedure must be followed.
  4. Pupils absent for more than a month without excuse are liable to have their names struck off the rolls.
  5. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, insubordination, serious misbehaviour, obscenity in any form and dishonesty are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of a student.
